Fabricator – Process Plant

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Fabricator to join our Process Plant team at the Obuasi Gold Mine. The role involves delivering boilermaking, welding and fabrication work for plant refurbishment, maintenance and repair in a safe, compliant manner.

Key responsibilities

• Perform welding, boilermaking and fabrication tasks across all shifts in line with Ghanaian regulations and AGAG standards.
• Coordinate with contractors and construction teams to execute mechanical work for refurbishment and planned maintenance.
• Conduct daily pre‑start checks of tools and equipment, report any anomalies and ensure safe operation of cranes and other plant machinery.
• Provide accurate movement signals to crane operators and support the Maintenance Planner by updating work orders in SAP.
• Maintain compliance with the site Environmental Management Plan and health‑safety legislation.
• Complete tasks cost‑effectively and on schedule while adhering to all safety protocols.

Required profile

• Secondary education level.
• Certificate of completion of a recognized fabrication, welding or boilermaking apprenticeship (e.g., City & Guilds).
• Minimum five (5) years of post‑apprenticeship experience in a fabrication trade.
• Familiarity with Ghana Minerals and Mining health, safety and technical regulations.
