Fleet Dispatch Supervisor

About the role

The Fleet Dispatch Supervisor will lead the planning and execution of vehicle scheduling for TWYFORD INTERNATIONAL’s owned fleet in Takoradi and the Western Region. You will ensure optimal utilization of trucks, monitor shipments in real time, and coordinate closely with warehouse, sales and finance teams to guarantee on‑time deliveries.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily fleet capacity scheduling, route planning and truck allocation to maximise utilisation.
• Track real‑time vehicle locations, resolve traffic jams, breakdowns and cargo detention issues promptly.
• Verify delivery orders, collect signed receipts and align transport documentation with warehouse, sales and finance.
• Liaise with warehouse and customers to synchronise loading, unloading and delivery schedules.
• Calculate and report daily fleet metrics such as departure volume, empty‑load rate and on‑time delivery performance.
• Report vehicle and driver issues, assist with minor cargo damage resolution and enforce safety regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Minimum five years of hands‑on dispatch experience managing a self‑owned freight fleet in Ghana.
• Strong competence in route optimisation, real‑time shipment tracking and emergency response.
• Excellent communication skills for cross‑department coordination.
• Valid driving licence preferred.
