Flexo Printer Operator - Corrugated Cartons

About the role

Polytanks Ghana is looking for a Flexo Printer Operator for its plastics and packaging production unit in the Central Region of Ghana. The role covers high-speed six-colour flexo printing on an inline folder-gluer and running a six-colour casemaker at maximum speed.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a high-speed six-colour flexo printer on an inline folder-gluer and run a six-colour casemaker at up to 300 pieces per minute continuously.
• Mix and match water-based ink shades.
• Set up new six-colour jobs within 30 minutes and carry out fault finding and machine maintenance with the maintenance team.
• Lead a team in autonomous maintenance and train and guide team members.
• Apply knowledge of 5S and quality management systems.

Required profile

• 8 years of relevant experience in flexo printing of corrugated cartons.
• Diploma in Printing Technology or a related qualification.
• Ability to work on a high-speed six-colour flexo printer; knowledge of flexo plate mounting is an added advantage.
• Understanding of the OEE concept is an added advantage.

• Savings potential of up to $1,000 to $1,200 per month depending on experience, paid quarterly to the candidate's designated account.
