French Tutor

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated French Tutor to provide personalized instruction to children in a private home setting in Accra. The tutor will create engaging lessons that develop speaking, listening, reading and writing skills, adapting to each student’s level and progress.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver structured French lessons based on students’ learning levels and objectives.
• Teach speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation.
• Develop engaging exercises, assignments and activities to support learning.
• Assess students’ understanding and academic progress through appropriate assessments.
• Identify areas needing additional support and provide guidance.
• Adapt teaching approaches and lesson content according to progress and needs.
• Maintain records of lessons, assignments, assessments and student progress.
• Provide regular feedback to students and parents or guardians.
• Maintain a positive, respectful and well‑structured learning environment.

Required profile

• Fluent in French, both written and spoken.
• Previous experience teaching or tutoring students.
• Strong knowledge of French grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation.
• Ability to teach students at different learning levels.
• Patient, organized, responsible and professional attitude.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• A degree or relevant qualification in French is preferred.
• Teaching certification or relevant professional experience is an advantage.
