Full Stack Engineer (React Native)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Engineer with deep expertise in React Native to join our team in Accra, Ghana on a contract basis. The role involves building high‑performance mobile and web applications, collaborating with product and design teams, and delivering robust digital solutions for our clients, especially in fintech and telecommunications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain cross‑platform mobile applications using React Native.
• Develop and integrate backend services and RESTful APIs with Node.js, NestJS or similar technologies.
• Build responsive web interfaces using React.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, UI/UX Designers and QA Engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Implement secure authentication, authorization and data‑protection mechanisms.
• Create and maintain scalable database structures in MySQL, PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
• Participate in code reviews, enforce best practices and optimise performance, scalability and reliability.
• Troubleshoot technical issues across the full stack and contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation and stay current with emerging technologies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in React Native mobile development.
• Strong knowledge of modern front‑end frameworks and libraries.
• Solid background in backend API development with Node.js/NestJS.
• Experience with relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
• Ability to work effectively in cross‑functional, agile teams.
• Experience in fintech, digital payments or telecommunications is a strong advantage.
