DevOps Engineer – Cloud & Platform Automation

About the role

The DevOps Engineer will design, implement and automate secure, resilient and scalable technology platforms that support Absa Bank Ghana’s digital transformation. You will work across cloud environments, container ecosystems and automation frameworks to enable continuous integration, delivery and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and report platform availability against service level targets.
• Implement measures to improve reliability, scalability, capacity and fault tolerance.
• Drive infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines and platform modernization initiatives.
• Support migration projects such as OpenShift to Alauda, core banking and digital channel modernization.
• Ensure compliance with Absa Group standards, Bank of Ghana regulations and cyber‑security directives.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, availability gaps and reliability risks.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in DevOps, cloud and platform engineering.
• Senior‑level expertise with a proven track record of delivering large‑scale, mission‑critical solutions.
• Strong understanding of banking or financial services regulatory and security requirements.
• Ability to work collaboratively with development, operations and business teams.
