Fundraising Associate

About the role

African Centre for Technical Training (ACTT) is hiring a Fundraising Associate in Adenta, Accra, reporting to the Vice President, Growth. The role identifies, pursues and secures funding opportunities to support ACTT's programs and initiatives, including research, proposal development and donor relationship building. It is a full-time position on a 1-year renewable contract.

Key responsibilities

• Work with the VP of Growth and Founder & President to build a pipeline for fundraising goals
• Research grant opportunities, impact investments and funded fellowships
• Write proposals and prepare funding decks, applying to investors, foundations, family offices and grants
• Manage grant applications so they are accurate and on time, and track progress and follow-ups
• Build relationships with donors, partners and funding organisations
• Collaborate with Admissions, Operations, Training & Quality Assurance and Marketing teams
• Prepare reports and presentations, design and evaluate surveys, and represent ACTT at industry events and conferences

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Development Studies, Business Administration, International Relations or a related field
• Proven experience in fundraising, grant writing or business development
• Strong written and verbal communication, research and analytical skills
• Organised, able to handle multiple deadlines and work in a start-up environment
• Nice to have: hands-on approach, good analytical skills and data-driven decision making
