Ga Language Teacher (English Minor) – Full‑time

About the role

The GA Linguistic role is a full‑time, on‑site teaching position at Tema Parents' Association School in the Kpone‑Katamanso Municipal District. You will be responsible for delivering Ga language and literacy instruction to learners across nursery, primary and junior high levels, using age‑appropriate and engaging methods.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver Ga language lessons, covering grammar, vocabulary, reading and writing.
• Develop teaching materials, assignments and examinations aligned with curriculum standards.
• Assess learner performance, record results and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate classroom records and participate in staff meetings and school events.
• Promote Ga language, culture and values within the school community.
• Collaborate with colleagues, administrators and guardians to support learner progress.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in spoken and written Ga, with ability to teach all language components clearly.
• Experience in classroom teaching, lesson planning and learner assessment, preferably at nursery, primary or junior high levels.
• Effective communication and classroom‑management skills to create an inclusive, safe learning environment.
• Relevant academic background in Ga, linguistics, education or a related field; teaching qualification or certification is an advantage.
• Commitment to preserving and promoting Ga language and culture.
