General Insurance Branch Manager - Kumasi

About the role

The branch manager manages and leads all branch activities, driving growth and profitability by implementing strategic plans aligned with the organization's vision and mission. The position is based in Kumasi and is a full-time role.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed branch targets and identify local market opportunities.
• Build relationships with corporate clients, brokers and agents, and generate business through sales managers and walk-in clients.
• Take part in recruiting general agents and oversee daily operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Monitor customer interactions, claims processing and underwriting, and handle customer inquiries and complaints.
• Manage branch budgets, implement cost controls, and oversee premium collections, claims payments and operational costs.
• Develop client retention strategies and manage renewals.
• Manage, train and mentor branch staff, set performance goals and give constructive feedback.
• Ensure the branch meets its financial targets and implements risk management measures.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, commerce or a similar field.
• A professional insurance certification is required.
• At least 5-6 years of practical experience managing general insurance business operations.
