Hands-On Live-In Farm Manager – Mushroom & Moringa

About the role

The Farm Manager will live on‑site at TumiVale Ltd’s mushroom and moringa farm in Kasoa and carry out the day‑to‑day physical work required to produce high‑quality oyster mushrooms and, as the operation expands, moringa leaves. This is a hands‑on position with no staff‑management responsibilities, focused on maintaining a clean, secure and productive growing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and sterilise substrate, inoculate bags and oversee the mushroom grow room, ensuring optimal humidity, hygiene and ventilation.
• Harvest, weigh, dry and store mushrooms while keeping simple daily production records.
• Send daily photo updates via WhatsApp to the farm owner.
• Plant, water and harvest moringa trees as the farm scales.
• Maintain the farm premises, ensuring cleanliness and security at all times.

Required profile

• Proven hands‑on experience with mushroom cultivation, preferably oyster mushrooms.
• Ghana Card holder with a smartphone capable of using WhatsApp.
• Physically fit, honest, reliable and able to follow a written daily routine.
• Willingness to live full‑time on the farm in Kasoa.

Required skills

• Environmental monitoring (humidity, ventilation).
• Basic record‑keeping.

What we offer

• Monthly salary of GHS 800–1,200, dependent on experience.
• Free private on‑site accommodation with utilities.
• Two‑to‑four‑week paid trial, followed by a three‑month probation and permanent contract.
