Heavy Equipment Mechanic

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team and ensure the reliable operation of trucks and heavy machinery. The role involves performing routine maintenance, diagnosing faults, and executing complex repairs on site.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of heavy equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electronic faults.
• Perform repairs, part replacements, and complete engine overhauls including disassembly, cleaning, inspection, and reassembly.
• Document work performed and communicate findings with the team.
• Provide on‑site rescue and field support when equipment breaks down.
• Maintain and repair tools, manage spare‑parts inventory, and submit procurement requests.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience maintaining trucks or heavy equipment.
• Proven ability to work independently and safely in field conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical manuals.

Required skills

• Mechanical systems: engines, chassis, brakes, suspension.
• Electronic control and electrical systems.
• Use of a wide range of repair tools and diagnostic equipment.
