Heavy‑Duty Equipment Mechanic

About the role

JRANGE GHANA is looking for a skilled Heavy‑Duty Mechanic to join its technical team in Tema. The role involves maintaining and repairing heavy‑duty vehicles and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose and repair mechanical faults in heavy‑duty vehicles and equipment.
• Perform routine servicing, preventive maintenance and major mechanical repairs.
• Troubleshoot engine, transmission, hydraulic and braking system issues.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
• Minimise equipment downtime through timely repairs.

Required profile

• HND, Diploma, NVTI Certificate, City & Guilds or equivalent in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering or Heavy Equipment Maintenance.
• 3–5 years of practical experience with heavy‑duty trucks, trailers, earth‑moving equipment or industrial machinery.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions, braking systems and electrical components.
• Ability to work independently under pressure and follow health and safety procedures.
