Electrical & Instrumentation Manager

About the role

The Electrical & Instrumentation Manager ensures that electrical and instrumentation maintenance is organised and carried out efficiently across all utilities and production machines, contributing to business objectives. The role covers maintenance programmes, calibration, contractor oversight and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage electrical and instrumentation maintenance activities, including installation, repair, calibration and maintenance, to improve line performance and product availability.
• Oversee preventive, condition-based and breakdown maintenance programmes, and evaluate and modify them to be cost-effective.
• Provide calibration plans and execution so that plant instrumentation stays within standards.
• Assist in planning, preparing and executing annual equipment overhauls.
• Manage and develop associates, and oversee third-party contractors to ensure adherence to contract specifications and HSE standards.
• Oversee security, safety and disaster recovery programmes.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports on maintenance activities.
• Ensure QEOSH and food safety compliance on site.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent.
• 3-4 years of experience managing production equipment maintenance in a high-speed production facility.
• Demonstrated experience managing people.

Required skills

• Familiarity with manufacturing systems and maintenance scheduling software.
• Good understanding of PLC controls and general troubleshooting.
• Statistical Process Control skills.
• Experience managing change programmes and good computer skills.
