Hotel and Kitchen Staff

About the role

Roots Hospitality International, a hospitality and lifestyle management company operating in Ghana and Cote d'Ivoire, is hiring a full-time, on-site Hotel and Restaurant Staff member. The role provides attentive, courteous service to guests in hotel and restaurant areas, including welcoming guests, helping with check-in and check-out and guiding them to services and facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and clear dining areas, take orders and serve food and beverages
• Handle basic cash or POS transactions
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in guest and service areas
• Support front desk operations, room preparation and coordination with kitchen and housekeeping staff
• Work shifts, weekends and holidays as part of a collaborative team

Required profile

• Strong customer service and guest relations skills, with a friendly, professional attitude
• Good communication skills in English; knowledge of local languages or French is an advantage
• Ability to work in a team, follow instructions and coordinate with front office, housekeeping and kitchen staff
• Organizational skills for handling multiple guest requests during busy periods
• Previous hospitality, restaurant or customer-facing experience is preferred but not always required
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and holidays, and a neat, presentable appearance
• Relevant vocational training, hospitality courses or secondary education in a related field is an added advantage

Required skills

• Basic food and beverage service knowledge, including order taking, serving and table setting standards
• Ability to follow hygiene, safety and cleanliness procedures
• Basic computer or POS system skills are beneficial for front desk or cashier duties
