Junior Production Operator

About the role

The Junior Production Operator will work on the shop floor of Nexans Kabelmetal Ghana, a leading cable manufacturer. The role supports the plant’s operational targets by operating assigned machinery and ensuring safe, efficient production. The position reports to the production supervisor and requires strict adherence to company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate assigned machines and equipment in compliance with Nexans standards and all applicable requirements.
• Ensure safe handling and storage of raw materials to avoid spillage, contamination, or fire hazards.
• Maintain safe housekeeping (5S) around machines and all other assigned work areas.
• Follow standard operating procedures to reduce scrap during coiling and packaging.
• Carry out autonomous maintenance and follow the "OK to start" procedure to capture machine issues early.
• Complete OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) forms according to established procedures.

Required profile

• Ability to work without supervision.
• Minimum education: EET/MET parts I, II & III.
• 1–2 years of shop‑floor experience.
• Age between 25 and 35 years.
• Proficient in spoken and written English.
