Kitchen Assistant

About the role

The Kitchen Assistant will support the cooking team in a fast‑paced kitchen environment, ensuring ingredients are ready and the workspace stays clean. This entry‑level position is ideal for candidates who enjoy hands‑on food preparation and teamwork.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, cutting and portioning vegetables and other items.
• Assist the cook with basic cooking tasks and food preparation.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, utensils, equipment and dishware.
• Wash dishes, pots, pans and other kitchen tools.
• Receive, store and organize food supplies properly.
• Follow food safety, hygiene procedures and dispose of waste appropriately.
• Support the kitchen team with additional duties as needed.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a kitchen or food‑service setting is an advantage.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and handle physical tasks.
• Hardworking, reliable and physically fit.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to work Saturdays and Sundays.

Required skills

• Basic food preparation.
• Knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices.

What we offer

• Monthly salary between GHS 1,000 and GHS 1,500.
• Weekend shifts (Saturday & Sunday) from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
