About the role
The Kitchen Assistant will support the cooking team in a fast‑paced kitchen environment, ensuring ingredients are ready and the workspace stays clean. This entry‑level position is ideal for candidates who enjoy hands‑on food preparation and teamwork.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, cutting and portioning vegetables and other items.
- Assist the cook with basic cooking tasks and food preparation.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, utensils, equipment and dishware.
- Wash dishes, pots, pans and other kitchen tools.
- Receive, store and organize food supplies properly.
- Follow food safety, hygiene procedures and dispose of waste appropriately.
- Support the kitchen team with additional duties as needed.
Required profile
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food‑service setting is an advantage.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and handle physical tasks.
- Hardworking, reliable and physically fit.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to work Saturdays and Sundays.
Required skills
- Basic food preparation.
- Knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices.
What we offer
- Monthly salary between GHS 1,000 and GHS 1,500.
- Weekend shifts (Saturday & Sunday) from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
- Opportunity to gain experience in a hospitality setting.
