About the role

The Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU) invites applications for a Lecturer position within its Faculty of Computing and Information Systems. The successful candidate will join a technology‑oriented public university in Tesano, Accra, contributing to teaching, research and community engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and graduate courses in the chosen department (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, Mobile and Pervasive Computing).
• Supervise student projects, theses and dissertations.
• Conduct original research, publish findings in reputable journals and present at conferences.
• Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development and faculty development activities.
• Engage in community service and outreach initiatives aligned with the university’s mission.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in a relevant discipline such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology or related fields.
• Demonstrated ability to teach and supervise students at the university level.
• Evidence of scholarly research and publications.
• Three professional referees with contact details.
