Management Accountant – Process Plant

About the role

AngloGold Ashanti (Ghana) Limited is redeveloping the Obuasi Gold Mine into a modern, fully mechanised operation. We are looking for an experienced, self‑motivated Management Accountant to support the Process Plant by providing accurate cost data and performance insights for strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain Management Accounting processes for the mine redevelopment, including operational readiness.
• Recruit and develop the Management Accounting team to meet localisation goals.
• Map stakeholder relationships and set up regular communication routines.
• Provide planning data for quarterly updates of the 18‑month rolling plan.
• Prepare and assure the quality of Management Accounting data and reports.
• Develop the annual cost‑centre budget aligned with medium‑term and Life‑of‑Mine plans.
• Support departmental heads in budget preparation and consolidation.
• Participate in budget review meetings and produce consolidated reports for the HFM pack.
• Ensure timely reconciliation of fuel, contract, and labour cost accruals before month‑end close.
• Capture operating and capital expenditures accurately in the General Ledger.
• Promote safety leadership within the Finance team.

Required profile

• Experienced Management Accountant with a strong analytical mindset.
• Self‑motivated and able to work independently and collaboratively.
• Proven ability to develop and lead a finance team.
