Marketing Officer

About the role

Shalina Healthcare is looking for a Marketing Officer to join its marketing team and help build a Top-of-the-Mind (TOM) brand identity for its brands among customers and consumers in a profitable way. The role covers planning, execution and reporting of marketing activities across Accra and the Tema region.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the marketing plan and strategy for the assigned brands.
• Create demand, position the brand as top-of-mind and drive sales to targets using ATL (OOH, radio, Tro Tro branding, social media, media buying) and BTL activities.
• Run customer and market surveys, polling and demographic research to understand demand and analyse competitor activity.
• Forecast brand scope, analyse price and sales, and brief field representatives on strategy.
• Build customer connections and KOL relationships through CRM, CME and conferences, and measure and report campaign results.
• Identify gaps, keep the brand updated and analyse actual versus planned positioning.
• Coordinate cross-functionally with Sales, Logistics, Business Development, Medical and suppliers of print inputs and campaigns.
• Identify new products through primary and secondary research and manage the portfolio.
• Create brand identity through logo, packaging and communication.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in science or a related field.
• Experience in brand management, product management or medical representation; pharmaceutical marketing and sales experience.
• Exposure to Rxn brands is an added advantage.

Required skills

• Analytical and market research skills.
• Basic advertising and print knowledge.
• IT skills, including MS Office.
