Media Assistant

About the role

The Council's media and communications team is looking for a Media Assistant to create engaging visual and multimedia content that communicates the Council's activities, programmes and initiatives. The role covers photography, videography, audio production, video editing, graphic design and content creation for the Council's communication channels. It is a full-time position in the non-profit and NGO sector.

Key responsibilities

• Support the planning and execution of media and multimedia activities, including events, programmes, meetings and official engagements.
• Operate cameras and audio equipment for photography, videography, interviews and events.
• Record and organise high-quality video and audio content for the Council's communication platforms.
• Edit video footage for social media, websites, presentations and other platforms.
• Design graphics, posters, flyers, banners, social media creatives and other visual materials.
• Create multimedia content highlighting the Council's activities, achievements, programmes and impact.
• Support social media content, including short-form videos, graphics, photographs, captions and digital materials.
• Document official events through photography and videography.
• Maintain and organise media files such as photos, videos, audio recordings and graphics.
• Collaborate with communications and programme teams on content aligned with brand guidelines.
• Support promotional and informational materials for campaigns, programmes and public engagements.
• Stay informed on digital media trends and recommend creative approaches.
• Ensure all content is accurate, professional and consistent with the Council's brand.
