MEP & Processing Maintenance Manager

About the role

Tropo Farms is seeking a battle‑hardened MEP & Processing Maintenance Manager to take full ownership of its infrastructure across multiple sites in Ghana. This senior position requires hands‑on leadership, rapid problem‑solving, and the ability to implement robust maintenance systems in a challenging environment.

Key responsibilities

• Implement formal maintenance procedures and routines across all sites.
• Conduct technical audits, identify skill gaps, and ensure correct diagnostics and first‑time‑right repairs.
• Manage procurement scarcity, maintain critical spares, and develop contingency plans to keep production running.
• Oversee power generation (diesel, solar, grid) and high/low voltage distribution, as well as water‑treatment systems.
• Direct maintenance of industrial refrigeration, cold rooms, ice machines, and food‑processing equipment to achieve zero downtime.
• Lead integration of new equipment for expansion projects and build maintenance protocols from scratch.
• Supervise third‑party contractors and dispersed technical teams.

Required profile

• BSc in Electrical, Electronic, Electromechanical Engineering or Mechatronics.
• Minimum 8 years of industrial plant maintenance experience, including multi‑site management.
• Proven hands‑on expertise with diesel generators, industrial refrigeration, electrical networks, and PLC/automation systems.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large, dispersed teams and manage third‑party contractors in difficult environments.
