Microfinance Credit Officer – Rural Banking

About the role
The Rural Bank is seeking motivated Microfinance Credit Officers to join its team in Kwahu Praso. You will work directly with community groups, managing loan cycles and supporting financial inclusion in a rural setting.
Key responsibilities
- Form and manage credit groups, ensuring effective group dynamics.
- Oversee credit management, loan disbursement, and recovery processes.
- Organise, moderate and supervise regular group meetings.
- Prepare accurate field and financial reports on a routine basis.
- Screen group members and assess loan requirements in line with bank policy.
Required profile
- Minimum HND or equivalent in Accounting, Marketing, Social Work, Agriculture or related field.
- At least one year of National Service experience with a development, community‑oriented programme or financial institution.
- Strong interpersonal and people‑management abilities.
- Willingness to work in rural and underserved areas.
- Ability to ride a motorbike for field visits.
Required skills
- Computer literacy.
