Operations Officer – Remote Part‑Time Internship

About the role

The Operations Officer will support daily coordination of Cornerstone's fintech services, ensuring internal processes, merchant activities, customer support escalations, and partner interactions run smoothly. You will gain hands‑on experience with transaction monitoring, settlement workflows, service quality, and process improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily operational reports, transaction exceptions, and settlement statuses.
• Assist with tracking unsuccessful transactions, payment disputes, and issues requiring PSP intervention.
• Coordinate operational activities across Cornerstone Save, Collect, and Pay.
• Document standard operating procedures and support process improvements.
• Maintain issue trackers, operational dashboards, and partner follow‑up records.
• Collaborate with customer success, engineering, and finance to resolve problems.
• Prepare weekly operational performance reports.

Required profile

• Studying towards or holding a qualification in business administration, operations, finance, or a related field.
• Good proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
• Strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Basic understanding of digital payments or mobile money.
• Willingness to learn fintech operational processes.
