Power Transformer Sales and Marketing Manager

About the role

SkipperSeil Limited, a substation equipment manufacturer active in power transmission, distribution and generation across more than 50 countries, is hiring a full-time, on-site Power Transformer Sales and Marketing Manager based in Ghana. The role covers business development for power transformers and related substation equipment, from prospecting through to closing, and building long-term relationships with utilities, EPC contractors and industrial customers.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop business opportunities for power transformers and related substation equipment
• Manage the full sales cycle and close deals; prepare and deliver technical-commercial proposals and lead negotiations
• Nurture long-term relationships with utilities, EPC contractors and industrial customers
• Coordinate with engineering, production and logistics teams to ensure accurate specifications and timely delivery
• Analyse the market, track competitors, gather pricing inputs and forecast demand
• Plan and run marketing activities such as product presentations, trade show participation and digital and offline campaigns
• Report regularly on sales performance, pipeline status and market insights to regional and corporate leadership

Required profile

• Strong technical knowledge of power transformers, substation equipment and power transmission and distribution systems, preferably with experience in high voltage and EHV products
• Proven sales and business development experience in the power or electrical engineering sector, including lead generation, account management and closing complex technical-commercial deals
• Marketing capability, including go-to-market plans, product positioning and promotion for utilities, EPCs and industrial customers
• Competence in contract management, commercial negotiation and tender preparation, including utility and EPC bidding in African markets
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems or a similar field
