Product Support Supervisor

About the role

Sandvik is hiring a Product Support Supervisor in Ghana to supervise fleet service and maintenance as well as the parts and tool store. The role drives cost efficiency and capital profit through strong leadership, good customer relations and effective safety, health and environment practices. It reports to the Service Manager - Surface.

Key responsibilities

• Provide OEM product support to customers through effective management systems.
• Manage the cost budget by initiating cost reduction measures while keeping quality and safe, healthy environmental practices.
• Develop and administer maintenance practices that ensure fleet availability and reliability under contract terms.
• Take responsibility for EHS performance and management.
• Manage customer and stakeholder relationships and run continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support the personal and career development of team members.
• Adhere to Sandvik policies, especially SHEQ policies, and cooperate closely with customers' projects and operators.

Required profile

• Degree-qualified engineer or good trade background with relevant equipment technical and managerial experience; project management qualification is an advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.
• Experience maintaining surface products, managing parts stores and overseeing technical maintenance scope of work.
• Extensive mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge, strong business sense and EHS focus.
• Willingness to travel and work in remote locations for extended periods.

Required skills

• Proficiency in maintenance management practices.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and people management skills.
• Proficiency in spreadsheets and other MS Office applications.
