Professor – Faculty of Computing and Information Systems

About the role

The Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU) seeks a qualified Professor to join its Faculty of Computing and Information Systems. The appointment will support teaching, research, and community service across several departments, including Mobile and Pervasive Computing, Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, and General Studies.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
• Supervise student research projects and theses.
• Conduct scholarly research and publish in recognized journals.
• Engage in community service and outreach activities.
• Contribute to faculty development and university governance.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in a relevant discipline.
• Current or prior appointment as Professor at a recognized university, or at least three years as Associate Professor with a minimum of fifteen peer‑reviewed publications.
• Three referees’ names and addresses.
• Commitment to the university’s academic standards and promotion processes.
