Project Intern – Environmental Diplomacy & Governance (Ghana)

About the role
This internship is part of the LOGMe II Project and focuses on Environmental Diplomacy and Governance in Ghana. The intern will support research, coordination, and administrative tasks to advance environmental governance, partnerships, and knowledge management within an international conservation and development context.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in reviewing national and international policy frameworks related to Land Degradation Neutrality (LDN), environmental governance, and the 2030 Agenda.
- Support analysis of governance mechanisms and coordination processes in Ghana, documenting the role of non‑state actors.
- Document coordination platforms, policy dialogues, and stakeholder engagements; help organize knowledge‑exchange activities and multi‑stakeholder consultations.
- Contribute to knowledge products such as briefs, summaries, and presentations that link science, policy, and practice.
- Support data collection, compilation, and basic management of qualitative and quantitative information for reporting.
- Assist in drafting sections of reports, communication materials, and organizing project documentation.
- Perform other relevant tasks aligned with learning objectives.
Required profile
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Economics, Environmental Policy/Management, Natural Resource Management, or a related field.
- Demonstrated academic or practical interest in environmental diplomacy, multilateral governance, sustainable development, or international cooperation, preferably with a focus on West Africa.
