Project Officer – Climate Adaptation Programme

About the role

The Ministry of Food & Agriculture, in partnership with IFAD and the Special Climate Change Fund, is seeking a Project Officer to lead the delivery of a climate‑change adaptation value‑chain project. The role is based in the national RTIMP Coordination Office in Kumasi and focuses on planning, implementing and monitoring project activities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, implement and monitor SCCF activities under the supervision of the RTIMP coordinator.
• Prepare annual work plans and ensure project activities follow them.
• Coordinate SCCF and IFAD programme activities to achieve complementarity.
• Develop selection criteria, supervise consultants/sub‑contractors and ensure quality control.
• Maintain liaison with technical partners, media companies, private service providers and NGOs.
• Design and manage channels for project information dissemination and stakeholder networking.
• Oversee daily project management, procurement of equipment and infrastructure development.
• Support district‑level counterparts in planning, implementing and monitoring activities.

Required profile

• Suitable qualified individual with relevant experience in project coordination and climate‑adaptation initiatives.
