Project Quantity Surveyor – Infrastructure Projects

About the role

We are seeking a Project Quantity Surveyor to join our Operations Team in Tema, Ghana. The role will support major road, bridge and concrete construction projects, influencing commercial outcomes and project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Meet with clients to discuss project requirements.
• Participate in feasibility studies, site surveys and estimations.
• Assist in preparation of contract documents.
• Generate Bills of Quantities (BOQs) from available drawings.
• Prepare RFQ packages and distribute them to potential subcontractors.
• Allocate and review subcontractor progress.
• Assist the project director in identifying commercial risks and developing solutions.
• Analyse project activity costs and report variances against the plan.
• Maintain records of lost time for time‑extension preparation.
• Prepare cost reports.
• Prepare and submit payment applications, claims and invoices to the client and follow up until approval.
• Administer subcontractor valuations and confirm interim payment certificates (IPCs).
• Liaise with the client and third parties on commercial issues, including variations, claims and additional payments.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly progress reports and submit them on time.
• Ensure internal commercial processes are adhered to across the project.

Required profile

• Ambitious and commercially astute.
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on infrastructure projects.
• Ability to work effectively with engineers, project managers and international stakeholders.
• Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced environment.
