Regional Accountant – Ghana

About the role

The Regional Accountant will manage all accounting activities for dLocal's operations in Ghana, ensuring accurate, timely and compliant financial information for internal and external stakeholders. This role reports to the Regional Accounting Lead and operates within a fast‑paced fintech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Execute full accounting cycle, including accounts payable, fixed assets, bank reconciliations and expense tracking.
• Perform month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close activities, preparing journal entries in line with IFRS and group policies.
• Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting packages and support consolidation processes.
• Respond to audit requests, provide documentation for global and local audits, and ensure SOX control compliance.
• Assist tax filings (corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax) and liaise with Ghanaian regulators.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional certification (ACCA, ICAG, CPA, CA) preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting or audit, with solid knowledge of IFRS and Ghanaian statutory requirements.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with SAP or other ERP accounting systems.
• Familiarity with SOX internal control frameworks.
