Research Associate - Educational Planning and Administration

About the role

The Institute for Educational Planning and Administration (IEPA), a UNESCO Category II Centre based at the University of Cape Coast, is seeking two experienced Research Associates to support its portfolio of regional and international educational projects. The roles suit candidates with academic depth and the professional maturity to engage with policy-level research and international stakeholders. The appointment is fixed-term and part-time.

Key responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive literature reviews and contribute to the conceptual framework of new studies.
• Oversee data collection, ensure rigorous analysis and safeguard the integrity and confidentiality of research data.
• Prepare materials for submission to international granting agencies and foundations, and help draft articles for academic publication and policy reports.
• Manage applications for Human Subjects Committee reviews and ensure compliance with global ethical standards.
• Monitor project budgets, update website materials and manage high-level project correspondence.
• Supervise undergraduate research interns and bridge communication between the research team and faculty leads.

Required profile

• A Master's degree or doctorate in Education or a closely related field.
• Experience in research, including previous research projects.
