Teachers (Education, Ghanaian Language, English Language)

About the role

Mount Mary College of Education, located in Samanya in the Eastern Region of Ghana, is recruiting teachers for three subject areas: Education (Curriculum Studies and Special Education), Ghanaian Language (Dangme) and English Language (Language and Literature, Linguistics, Lexico Semantics). Applicants must hold a PhD and an M.Phil in the relevant area.

Key responsibilities

• Teach and set and mark assignments and examination questions
• Supervise students' project work and internships (support teaching in schools)
• Invigilate examinations
• Engage in research and publications
• Participate in community service and outreach activities
• Take part in curriculum development and academic administration
• Promote professional development, collaboration and grant writing

Required profile

• Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the relevant area
• Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) in the relevant area
• Good bachelor's degree in the relevant area
• At least 2 years of service as a Lecturer in a College of Education or an analogous tertiary institution

Required skills

• ICT skills necessary for teaching and research
