Sales Execution Coordinator - Imports

About the role

Hapag-Lloyd's Sales Execution Imports unit works directly with customers to develop, secure and maintain profitable business in line with the company's objectives. The role focuses on understanding customer needs, fulfilling requests and meeting budgets, and covers medium and large accounts and existing customers within an assigned territory.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow your own portfolio of customers and opportunities, covering MR and Geo-From customers as defined in the Area Sales Steering concept.
• Develop the budget within the designated territory and conduct MR planning and account performance reviews.
• Prepare account strategies and action plans, and coordinate customer tender requests and feedback.
• Take part in weekly coaching sessions with the Country Manager to review past sales and align future activities.
• Approach import customers through specified sales channels (e.g., reefer, import).
• Coordinate credit applications with Sales Management and Finance, and provide import market information and insights.
• Work closely with colleagues in other sales channels and prepare visit plans and reports in the required systems.

Required profile

• University degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Commercial and entrepreneurial mindset, proactive, confident in negotiating and closing deals.
• Strong business and customer focus, collaborative team player, clear communication and strong written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Digital aptitude, including supporting and promoting e-commerce and online customer solutions.
• Proficiency in MS Office and confidence learning business applications and systems.
