Scientific Coding Expert (Mathematics) – $30/hr Remote

About the role

This contract position focuses on creating rigorous scientific problem specifications and developing verified Python solutions for AI model evaluation. The role is fully remote with a requirement to overlap at least four hours with Pacific Standard Time business hours.

Key responsibilities

• Design a main scientific problem and at least three logically connected sub‑problems.
• Develop and implement golden Python solutions with full unit‑test coverage.
• Create discriminative test cases that clearly separate correct from incorrect AI outputs.
• Validate tasks for scientific correctness, well‑posedness, determinism, clear constraints, and expected results.

Required profile

• Master’s or PhD in Mathematics with strong Python programming experience.
• Ability to write rigorous, well‑posed mathematical problems with explicit constraints and expected outputs.
• Prior experience in research, scientific writing, AI data annotation, LLM evaluation, coding benchmarks, or academic STEM projects (preferred).
• Google Scholar profile or link is mandatory.
