Senior Customer Engineer - Field Service (ATM & Self-Service Banking)

About the role

NCR Atleos, a global provider of self-service banking solutions, is hiring a Senior Customer Engineer in Ghana. This is a field-based role for a senior service professional who installs, maintains, troubleshoots and repairs ATM and self-service banking equipment such as ATMs, cash management systems and kiosks. The engineer acts as a technical expert and mentor, ensuring high service quality, equipment uptime, customer satisfaction and compliance with service level agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain, upgrade and repair ATM and self-service banking equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, network and electromechanical issues.
• Manage critical customer incidents and perform root cause analysis for recurring faults.
• Serve as the primary technical contact for strategic customer accounts and give technical recommendations.
• Support customer review meetings and mentor and coach junior Customer Engineers and new field engineers.
• Maintain accurate service records, manage spare parts inventory and support continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and operational standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Engineering, Information Technology or a related technical field.
• 5-8 years of field service experience, including at least 3 years supporting ATMs or self-service banking systems.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in mission-critical environments.
• Extensive travel across Ghana; availability for after-hours, weekend and holiday support.
• Ability to handle and move equipment safely, and a valid driver's license.

Required skills

• Strong expertise in ATM hardware and software, electromechanical systems, Windows OS and TCP/IP networking.
• Knowledge of security devices, preventive maintenance and root cause analysis.
• Problem-solving, analytical, communication and leadership skills; able to work independently under pressure.
