Senior Investigator – Financial Misconduct

About the role

The Senior Investigator, Financial Misconduct will work independently with minimal supervision to analyse incident and whistleblower allegations and lead investigations of corruption and financial misconduct within World Vision offices.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and assess misconduct allegations to determine potential violations of World Vision policy or law.
• Plan, conduct and oversee investigations into fraud, bribery, embezzlement, theft, ethical misconduct and related issues.
• Prepare detailed investigative reports, plans, engagement memos and presentations for senior leaders.
• Coordinate investigative activities with internal teams, legal offices, law‑enforcement agencies, donors and external partners.
• Provide investigative training, develop manuals and recommend preventive measures to mitigate fraud risk.

Required profile

• Minimum several years of experience conducting complex financial investigations.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple investigations and communicate findings to senior management.
• Commitment to World Vision’s Christian values and willingness to participate in faith‑based activities as required.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience creating PowerPoint presentations for senior audiences.
• Use of data‑analytic tools and computer‑forensic software for investigative analysis.
• Strong interview and witness‑handling techniques.
