Senior Lecturer – Computing & Information Systems

About the role
The Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU) seeks a qualified Senior Lecturer to join its Faculty of Computing and Information Systems. The position is open to candidates wishing to contribute to teaching, research, and community service in one of the department’s specialisations.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the chosen department.
- Supervise student projects, theses, and research activities.
- Conduct scholarly research and publish in recognised journals.
- Participate in community outreach and faculty development initiatives.
- Engage in departmental administration and curriculum development.
Required profile
- Ph.D. in a relevant discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, ICT).
- Minimum four years of experience as a Lecturer at a recognised university.
- At least six publications in recognised academic journals.
- Evidence of prior appointment as Senior Lecturer at a comparable institution, or eligibility for promotion through GCTU’s process.
- Three professional referees.
