Social Media Video Editor (TikTok, Reels, Shorts) - Remote Ghana

About the role

A fast-growing Toronto-based creative and marketing agency works with restaurants, nightlife brands and lifestyle businesses, creating content that performs. It is hiring a Social Media Content Editor based in Ghana to turn raw footage into engaging short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels and YouTube Shorts. The position is remote and contract-based, paid per completed video.

To apply, send an email to the agency with a short introduction and a portfolio of short-form videos you personally edited, with 2-3 direct links to your best work. Applications without relevant short-form examples will not be considered.

Key responsibilities

• Edit short-form videos using CapCut or similar software, adding captions, transitions, sound design and effects.
• Follow creative direction while bringing your own ideas to each edit.
• Deliver edits on time and complete revisions when required.
• Attend at least two weekly review meetings and give proactive updates on deadlines and progress.

Required profile

• Proven experience editing short-form social media content.
• Reliable laptop capable of editing HD video and fast, reliable internet; backup internet preferred.
• Ability to work to Canadian Eastern Time deadlines, with edits generally due by 12:00 PM ET.
• Strong communication skills and ability to receive and apply feedback; consistent responsiveness is expected.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CapCut or similar video editing software.
• Understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels and YouTube Shorts trends.
• Bonus: Canva, Photoshop, restaurant or nightlife brand content, and an eye for pacing, captions, typography and beat matching.

What we offer

• Pay per video, typically 35-120+ GHS depending on complexity: simple edits 35-50 GHS, standard edits 50-80 GHS, complex edits 80-120+ GHS.
• Each video includes up to two rounds of revisions; experienced editors may earn higher rates and more work.
