TikTok & Instagram Video Editor (Remote, Ghana)

About the role

A fast-growing creative and marketing agency based in Toronto, which works with restaurants, nightlife brands and lifestyle businesses, is hiring a Social Media Content Editor in Ghana. The role is remote and pays per completed video, with rates depending on complexity and turnaround.

To apply, candidates must send an email with a short introduction and a portfolio of short-form videos they personally edited (TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels, YouTube Shorts or similar); portfolios of only graphic design, photography or long-form work will not be considered.

Key responsibilities

• Edit short-form videos using CapCut or similar software, adding captions, transitions, sound design and effects.
• Follow creative direction while bringing your own ideas to each edit.
• Deliver edits on time and complete revisions when requested.
• Attend at least two weekly review meetings and give proactive updates on deadlines and progress.

Required profile

• Proven experience editing short-form social media content.
• Reliable laptop capable of editing HD video and fast, reliable internet; backup internet preferred.
• Ability to work to Canadian Eastern Time deadlines, with edits generally due by 12:00 PM ET.
• Strong communication skills and reliability; failure to communicate for more than three consecutive days may lead to termination of the contract.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CapCut or similar video editing software.
• Understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels and YouTube Shorts trends.
• Bonus: Canva, Photoshop, restaurant or nightlife brand content, and knowledge of hooks, viewer retention and engagement.

What we offer

• Pay per video, typically GHS 35 to 120+, depending on edit level: simple (GHS 35-50), standard (GHS 50-80) or complex (GHS 80-120+).
• Up to two rounds of revisions per video, with possible higher rates and more work for consistent high-quality delivery.
