Software Quality Assurance Engineer

About the role

Beron Intelligence is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to strengthen product quality through thoughtful manual testing and maintainable test automation. You will translate requirements into clear test coverage, identify issues before release, and provide reliable information about product readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Review requirements and changes to spot unclear behavior, missing acceptance criteria, and testing risks.
• Create and maintain test plans, cases, and data for new and existing functionality.
• Perform exploratory, functional, regression, and integration testing across web applications and APIs.
• Develop and maintain automated tests for key user journeys, API behavior, and recurring regression checks.
• Verify application behavior across relevant browsers, devices, and screen sizes.
• Report defects with clear reproduction steps, expected and actual results, supporting evidence, and severity assessment.
• Collaborate with developers to investigate failures, verify fixes, and reduce recurring defects.
• Integrate automated checks into CI/CD workflows and communicate test results, risks, and release‑readiness concerns.

Required profile

• Practical experience in software quality assurance covering both manual testing and test automation.
• Ability to design test cases from requirements, user journeys, and identified product risks.
• Strong analytical skills and clear communication of defects, prioritisation of testing effort, and distinction between product issues and test failures.

Required skills

• Automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress or Selenium.
• Programming languages for automation: JavaScript, TypeScript or Python.
• API testing tools like Postman.
• Version control with Git.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
• Basic SQL for checking application data.
