Sonographer

About the role

MSIG Kokomlemle Centre, an affiliate of MSI Reproductive Choices, is hiring a full-time Sonographer. The Sonographer provides high-quality ultrasound imaging and diagnostic services to clients, supports clinicians with accurate imaging reports and upholds clinical quality standards and protocols. The position reports to the Centre Manager and includes a 3-month probation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform obstetric, gynecological, abdominal and other ultrasound examinations as required.
• Produce accurate and timely ultrasound reports supporting clinical diagnosis and treatment decisions.
• Prepare and position clients before procedures and ensure privacy, dignity and confidentiality.
• Collaborate with clinicians and other healthcare staff to deliver quality care.
• Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, infection prevention and control standards and professional guidelines.
• Maintain ultrasound equipment, keep accurate procedure records and take part in clinical audits and quality improvement.
• Monitor consumable supplies, help schedule appointments and explain procedures clearly to clients.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
• Registered with the Allied Health Professions Council of Ghana and in good standing.
• At least three years of relevant experience in a reputable health facility.
• Ghanaian nationals or permanent residents with valid work permits; no fees charged at any stage of recruitment.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge and practical experience in obstetric and gynecological ultrasound.
• Computer literacy with good reporting and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, client-focused and collaborative.
