System Engineer – IT Infrastructure

About the role

Fairgreen is looking for a System Engineer to design, implement and maintain complex IT systems and networks for large corporate clients. The role ensures stability, integrity and efficient operation of servers, LAN/WAN, cloud and virtualization environments while acting as a technical resource for other engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and manage WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls and internal security systems.
• Administer Microsoft technologies such as Windows Server, Exchange, SQL and SharePoint.
• Implement virtualization solutions using VMware, Citrix and Microsoft platforms.
• Provide remote access solutions including VPN, Terminal Services and Citrix.
• Monitor system alerts, handle escalated support issues and ensure timely resolution.
• Collaborate with sales to engineer projects, identify new solutions and research client requirements.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for all systems and network infrastructure.
• Lead backup, storage, data migration, disaster recovery and other operational support activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience troubleshooting and supporting Microsoft core business solutions, WAN/LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls and security systems.
• Ability to work on complex deployment designs and integrate new applications with existing systems.
• Strong technical communication skills to advise managers, user departments and project teams.
