Technical Operator

About the role

The Technical Operator is responsible for activating, monitoring and maintaining assigned production machinery on a daily basis. The role ensures smooth operations, high‑quality output and timely reporting while supporting plant conversions and collaborating with R&D and Quality Assurance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Switch on main power for assigned machinery each shift and continuously monitor performance.
• Inspect equipment for unusual sounds or malfunctions and apply lubrication as required.
• Review downtime reports from the previous shift and address any issues.
• Assist with plant conversions, installations and ensure samples are approved by R&D and QA before production starts.
• Prepare and submit production and maintenance reports to the respective managers.
• Conduct thorough weekly maintenance every Saturday to keep machines in optimal condition.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by supervisors.

Required profile

• Mechanical/Technical Engineering Technician Part III or HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Certification in mechanical and electrical safety.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 standards.
• Strong teamwork, adaptability and communication skills.
