Training & Quality Assurance Officer

About the role

The African Centre for Technical Training (ACTT) is looking for a Training & Quality Assurance Officer in Adenta, Accra. The officer ensures the high academic and operational quality of ACTT's training programs, supporting curriculum development, delivery and evaluation in line with national and international standards. The role reports to the Vice President, Training & Quality Assurance and is a full-time position on a one-year renewable contract.

Key responsibilities

• Help design competency-based training content, including curricula, lesson notes, worksheets, multimedia resources and presentation slides, aligned with ACTT's values and standards.
• Take part in workshops, training sessions and lectures, and support facilitators with instructional best practices.
• Design and run quality assurance systems that meet internal expectations and external regulatory standards, and monitor personnel, methods and tools for consistent delivery.
• Develop assessment tools, analyse performance data and give feedback to improve content and facilitation.
• Set up a feedback loop with students, facilitators and stakeholders, and prepare documentation for audits and quality reviews.
• Work with the Growth team to find partners that strengthen training and certification outcomes.
• Oversee training projects from start to finish, keeping timelines and budgets, and lead and mentor team members.
• Help set departmental goals, prepare periodic reports, and represent ACTT at training events, conferences and trade shows.
• Support the design and implementation of technical building projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Engineering or Architecture, with at least two years of industry experience.
• Familiarity with CTVET guidelines and Ghanaian accreditation systems.
• Proven leadership experience managing teams and projects.
• Nice to have: registered and accredited CTVET facilitator, hands-on approach, excellent oral and written English, strong analytical skills.
