Treasury Accountant

About the role
The Treasury Accountant will support the Treasury Lead in managing cash flow, liquidity, banking operations, and financial risk for GBfoods Africa. This position focuses on daily treasury tasks, reporting, and assisting with short‑term cash flow forecasting.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor daily cash balances across all bank accounts and prepare cash position reports.
- Process local and international payment requests, maintain bank relationships, and handle account administration.
- Assist in short‑term cash flow forecasting and track variances between forecasted and actual cash movements.
- Perform bank reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and support treasury reporting.
- Ensure compliance with treasury policies, internal controls, and audit requirements.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
- 3‑5 years of experience in treasury, finance, or accounting.
- Strong analytical mindset, high attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
Required skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with ERP/ accounting systems, preferably SAP.
