Truck Driver (Cement Transport)

About the role
VEFSOL is seeking a full‑time, on‑site Truck Driver based in Accra (Tema) to transport cement to client locations across Ghana. You will operate company trucks safely, follow assigned routes and schedules, and ensure timely deliveries while upholding the highest safety standards.
Key responsibilities
- Operate heavy trucks to deliver cement to various client sites.
- Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and journey logbooks.
- Load, unload, and securely fasten cargo.
- Communicate with dispatch and fleet management regarding delays, incidents, or maintenance needs.
- Ensure compliance with local road safety regulations and company policies.
- Represent VEFSOL professionally when interacting with clients.
Required profile
- Proven experience driving commercial heavy trucks safely and efficiently.
- Valid F‑Class (or equivalent) commercial driving licence for heavy‑truck operations.
- Good knowledge of major routes and destinations in Ghana.
- Ability to read, write and complete journey logbooks.
- Clean driving record and strong adherence to safety protocols.
- Basic vehicle inspection skills and prompt reporting of maintenance issues.
- Strong time‑management, reliability and communication skills.
- Previous experience in fleet or logistics operations is an advantage.
