Warehouse Officer

About the role

A full-time Warehouse Officer position in Kumasi, advertised through Jobberman. The role covers day-to-day warehouse operations under the supervision of the warehouse manager, with a focus on stock accuracy, expiry control and safe handling.

Key responsibilities

• Follow warehouse SOPs strictly and ensure error-free dispatch and receiving, taking ownership of any errors.
• Supervise loading and offloading and perform other tasks assigned by the warehouse manager.
• Check and verify documents for inbound and outbound movements and keep stock cards accurate.
• Enforce FEFO on outbound movements and keep stock segregated by expiry, separating damaged and expired goods from good stock.
• Track customer stock returns, check their expiry and sale-ability, and keep records of stock returns.
• Control stacking and retrieval accuracy, minimise damage and pilferage, and raise alarms about any operational abnormalities.
• Improve storage space utilisation through random re-stacking and relocation, and assist with audits and warehouse visits.
• Contribute to process-improvement initiatives and maintain a clean, tidy warehouse.

Required profile

• HND with relevant work experience.
• 3 to 5 years of experience.
• Behavioural competencies: professional, problem sensitive, team player, high integrity, time management and quality consciousness, customer service oriented.
