Wholesale Sales & Marketing Officer

About the role

The Wholesale Sales & Marketing Officer will drive the acquisition and growth of wholesale accounts across Ghana, targeting distributors, market traders, chain retailers and institutional buyers. Working primarily from Accra, the role involves frequent field visits to major trade hubs to meet volume and revenue targets.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, approach and open new wholesale accounts including distributors, market traders, chain retailers and institutional buyers.
• Achieve monthly and quarterly sales volume and revenue targets.
• Negotiate pricing, credit terms and volume commitments within approved limits.
• Visit key trade centres such as Makola, Kaneshie, Suame Magazine, Kumasi Central, Takoradi and Tamale.
• Maintain a clean sales pipeline and submit weekly sales reports.
• Support the upcoming warehouse launch by providing input on stock mix, minimum order quantities and delivery expectations.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of B2B, wholesale or distribution sales experience in Ghana.
• Existing network among wholesalers, distributors or market traders is strongly preferred.
• Comfortable with field selling; the role is market‑based rather than desk‑based.
• Strong negotiation skills and credibility with owner‑operators and buying managers.
• HND or university degree in Marketing, Business or a related field.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in a local language (Twi, Ga, Ewe or Hausa) is an advantage.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel nationwide.
