DevOps Engineer

About the role

The DevOps Engineer will design, implement, automate and support secure, resilient and scalable technology platforms that drive Absa Bank Ghana's digital transformation. This role bridges application development, cloud and container ecosystems, and automation frameworks to ensure high‑availability services.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and report platform, infrastructure and application availability against service level targets.
• Implement measures to improve platform reliability, scalability, capacity and fault tolerance.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and availability gaps, driving corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate platform and application changes to minimise service disruption.
• Contribute to business continuity, disaster recovery and resilience testing.
• Support strategic initiatives such as cloud adoption, container platform modernization, OpenShift to Alauda migration, core banking transformation and digital channel modernization.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing, implementing and supporting secure, resilient, and scalable technology platforms.
• Strong understanding of cloud, container and automation concepts.
• Ability to work across multiple technology domains and ensure compliance with regulatory and security standards.
