Hardware Technician – Mining Systems

About the role

Hexagon is seeking a Hardware Technician to provide on‑site and remote support for mining‑focused digital reality solutions. You will deploy new and upgraded hardware at customer mine sites, perform basic troubleshooting, and configure system software and operating systems.

Key responsibilities

• Define and review project proposals and plans with customers and internal teams.
• Execute project phases, load configurations, upgrades and operating systems onto field equipment and servers following change‑management procedures.
• Maintain project documentation, service agreements and a database of deployed systems.
• Serve as escalation point for technical issues beyond the scope of Project Engineers.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure timely, on‑budget deployments.
• Monitor market trends and recommend new solutions to improve project cycles.

Required profile

• Strong high‑level knowledge of mining hardware systems.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with hardware supervisors and engineers.
• Proactive identification of risks, inefficiencies and opportunities.
